Our coordinators stay an average of 4.1 years, which in this industry is unusual. It is not an accident — it is what happens when people are trained properly and not run into the ground.

A network small enough to notice you
We employ around 180 people across nine sites. That is large enough to offer a real career path — coordinator to lead coordinator to site manager to network role — and small enough that the people making promotion decisions have actually met you.
Study-facing staff are given protected training time, funded professional membership, and a development budget that does not quietly disappear when a study runs late. Investigators keep clinical sessions where they want them.
We are also deliberate about hiring people without a conventional research background. Roughly a third of our coordinators came in through the apprenticeship route from pharmacy counters, care work, phlebotomy and healthcare assistant roles.

02 — Training
Clinical attachments
Observational placements of two to eight weeks for medical students, IMGs, and allied health professionals wanting to understand how research sites actually run.

03 — Apprenticeships
Research apprenticeships
Paid twelve-month programmes leading to a permanent coordinator role. No prior research experience required. Currently offered at Milton Keynes and Birmingham, open to UK residents.

04 — Specialty training
Pharmaceutical Medicine Specialty Training (PMST)
Our Milton Keynes site holds GMC approval as a training location for the PMST programme — accredited higher specialty training for pharmaceutical physicians. Doctors completing the programme are entered on the GMC specialist register in pharmaceutical medicine. Trainees rotate through feasibility, protocol review, safety reporting and investigator responsibilities under supervision, alongside taught modules.
